Dates, soaked20 20
  • Put your dates in a bowl and cover them with water (or rum) by about one inch, then soak them at room temperature or in the refrigerator overnight. Alternatively, you can do a quick soak and soak them in hot, but not boiling, water for an hour or longer.

Unsweetened Cacao, for dusting40 gr1/2 cup

Optional Ingredients :

  • ½ cup sugar free Chocolate Chips
  • ½ cup Nuts, chopped: walnuts, peanuts, pecans
  • ½ cup raisins
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Steps:

Step 1

In a food processor add brownie (465 gr), chickpeas (1 can) and soaked dates (20) and blend until smooth. If the mixture is a little dry, add 2-3 tablespoons of the soaking liquid from dates.

Step 2

Using your hands, roll the dough into small balls (approximately 1 tablespoon) and place onto the prepared tray.

Step 3

If desired, roll the balls in extra cacao powder, coconut flakes, or chopped nuts.

Step 4

They are ready to be served immediately. Store the leftover brownie bites in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or in the freezer for up to 1 month, if they’re not consumed within a few days.
