Healthy Oatmeal Banana Bread

Walnuts40 gr1/4 cup
Dark Chocolate70 gr1/3 cup
  • 70 grams of dark chocolate is approximately 1/3 cup when chopped. This can vary slightly depending on how finely the chocolate is chopped.

Optional Ingredients :

  • 6 gr / 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 80 gr / ⅓ cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chip

Equipment:

  • Loaf pan 8.5in x 4.5 inch / 21.5cm x 11.5cm

Steps:

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350°F / 180°C and line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Step 2

In a bowl, combine the oatmeal and salt, then pour in the hot milk. Let it sit for 10 minutes to soften.

Step 3

Meanwhile, mash the bananas in a separate bowl. Add the eggs and beat the mixture with a fork for about 5 minutes until combined.

Step 4

Stir the banana-egg mixture into the softened oatmeal.

Step 5

Sift the cocoa powder and baking powder into the batter and mix until smooth.

Step 6

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and evenly sprinkle the chopped nuts on top.

Step 7

Bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Step 8

Allow the banana bread to cool completely. Melt the dark chocolate and drizzle it over the top of the bread.

Step 9
